Mezzanine Ancillaries

- We at Peter Evans Storage Systems Ltd design and manufacture appropriate staircases for each project, dependent on the use of your mezzanine floor will determine what kind of staircase you require. It might be a simple ‘Part K’ staircase you require for your storage floor or you may require a complex ‘Doc M’ feature staircase to your retail floor. Either way we will provide advice and experience so you’re mezzanine floor and staircase(s) comply with current UK building regulations.

- The handrail depends on the application of the mezzanine floor, if it’s a simple storage mezzanine then it will be hand and knee rail with kick board to eliminate small parts rolling over the edge and falling on to the floor below. But if it’s a retail or office floor it may be a feature handrail your after which consists of stainless steel balustrade and toughened clear or smoked glass.

Pallet gates

- On a storage mezzanine floor, chances are you would like the option to be able to drop a pallet onto the floor? We design and manufacture bespoke pallet gates to accommodate any size pallet and they require virtually no maintenance.
Our ‘up and over’ pallet gates are designed to keep a permanent barrier between the operator and the leading edge. Basically eliminating the chance of anyone falling off the floor.

Fire rating

- The intended use of the mezzanine floor will determine whether the floor is required to be fire rated or not. Don’t worry we will advise whether fire protection is required and to what extent. We will take care of all your fire protection requirements using a variety of methods, including suspended ceilings, column casings, cavity barriers, bulkheads / fascias, staircase enclosures, fire walls, sprinkler systems and smoke detection systems.
