Double Deep Racking
Decreasing the number of access aisles and using the space saved to accommodate additional racking, a double-deep racking configuration provides a highly space-efficient storage system.
Double deep racking simply has one row of standard pallet racking behind another. This allows pallets to be stored 2 deep, but still accessed from one aisle. For this system you will require specialised fork lift trucks with either extending forks or side forks.
The perfect system when multiple pallet quantities of each product are stored and stock turnover is high. Double deep racking offers low initial cost, high productivity, and good selectivity.
